One of the downsides to the game is that you can only play up to 5 duels a day because you have a stamina meter with 5 bars on it. You can also play with registered friends. There's also another mode where u can play against someone's deck but it's controlled by the computer. Another mode has you fight against other players in single or multiple round duels. Each stage of each Quest mode has boss battle, though some are strangely easier than some of the regular computer non-Boss decks. However, some decks are easy to beat while others can prove challenging. Speaking of Quest mode, it is a computer opponent mode that has you choose from specific AI opponent decks to fight against, but it gives you a small advantage in letting you see what deck you'll be fighting against. You win duel points by winning matches, but I also recall you can win less if you lose a duel except in Quest mode.

In addition, sometimes trying to unlock new decks will just result in you randomly getting an extra point added to an older specific partner deck you already have unlocked, so that allows you to use that deck one more time during a duel.

You can unlock one for free once every day, or you can spend duel points on them as much as you want, so long as you have enough duel points to use. If you're not interested in spending real money on the game, then you can unlock randomized partner decks to use to play with, and there's a lot of them. It's another top-down card game, but Yugioh Duel Arena is a fun free-to-play browser-based game on. So have there ever been any good Yu-Gi-Oh video games? Any that aren't just the card game, as a card game, and nothing else? Or am I dreaming of the unobtainable? If all I wanted was the regular card came I'd duel with my brother or go to the indie game shop in town where they have an upstairs area specifically for playing trading card games that's pretty much always busy.

I expected the PS3 one to have duels somewhat like the anime, I have an avatar that I'm playing as, I play a card and get giant 3D monsters on my screen battling it out. First one was back on PS1, then there was one on either GBA or DS, and then I recently tried a demo of a new PS3 one. I did see some 5D's cards with something about Synchro monsters, but I tend to stay well clear of anything 5D's related.īut it got me looking back at Yu-Gi-Oh video games I've played, and all of them have been pretty much terrible. I even tore my parents house apart looking for my deck, but so far no luck (My Red Eyes Black Dragon and Maha Vailo, nooooooooo!) though I did end up buying two booster packs, 'The New Challengers' and 'Battle Pack 3 Monster League', and I'm glad to see that from the looks of things the way to play the game hasn't changed too much. Fixed by Skipdraw 3ĮE/VU Clamp modes: Full/Extra+Preserve Sign, GSdx Scaling x3, Works fine, Bugs: After hanging in the main menu got some TLB misses which killed sound throughout the game, seems to be triggered by the FMV stopping/replaying again. So I've recently been re-watching Yu-Gi-Oh (What? Don't judge me!) and it's been getting me back into the game. Bugs: Glitches after cards slashing are over.

I tested an older computer with an Intel Pentium D 3.00 GHz and a 9XXX series Nvidia Graphics card and had an output of about 26 to 30 fps without speedhacks, and normal with speedhacks about 55 to 60 fps. Works with all versions of the GSdx engine. Every once and awhile when emulator is standing idle it crashes, but it has only happened twice in all the time I have played it.
